How to convert MP4 to WEBP

MP4 is one of the most common upload formats, and it is often the easiest starting point for a short WEBP loop.

Prepare a short MP4 first

A short source clip usually leads to a lighter and more practical WEBP result.

If the MP4 is very long or much larger than you need, trim it first before conversion whenever possible.

Pick width, FPS, and quality carefully

If the goal is lightweight sharing, lower width or FPS can help a lot.

There is no single perfect number. The right setting depends on whether you care more about smoothness or file size.

Download and review the result

After conversion, check whether the loop still looks natural enough for your use case.

If the result feels too heavy, try a lower width or lower FPS before changing everything else at once.
